Ghee: good or bad?

Punya Srivastava brings together Naturopath NK Sharma and Vaidya Dr. Shrinivasa Pandey to get to the bottom of the question

The controversy regarding ghee -whether it is a good fat or a bad fat – has been raging for many years. As a rule, naturopaths condemn its usage, while ayurvedic doctors recommend it strongly. Nutritionists and allopaths too decry it.

Life Positive brought together eminent reiki master and naturopath, Dr. NK Sharma, who has penned Milk A Silent Killer on the dangers of milk and dairy consumption, and Dr. Shrinivasa Pandey, a senior doctor from the Delhi branch of Arya Vaidya Sala Kottakkal, for a discussion on the controversy. The discussion, happily, generated more light than heat, and culminated in the two worthies understanding where the other was coming from.

Dr. Pandey, what is the importance of ghee in ayurveda?

Dr. Pandey: There are seven mammals apart from humans whose milk is used for consumption – cow, goat, buffalo, camel, sheep, mare and elephant. Out of these, cow’s milk is considered to generate the best ghee, which even a newborn baby can safely consume. Ayurveda recognises three doshas, vata, pitta, kapha. Ghee helps to maintain vata and pitta. It also has a significant medicinal value. One can have medicinal drugs mixed with ghee for better absorption in the body. For example, a person suffering from acidity or gastritis who cannot be given arishtam or kashayam, can easily consume medicinal herbs mixed in ghee. This is because the body has various channels through which ghee easily penetrates and gets absorbed. There are specific properties of certain types of ghee which enhance the medicinal properties of these drugs when used in proper combination. Hence, ghee is a very useful therapeutic tool.

Referring to the doshas, a vata prominent patient could be prescribed as much as three tablespoons of ghee in a day. However, science says that ghee could increase cholesterol levels. What is the way out? Dr. Pandey: First of all I would say that more than vata, people with pitta predominance should consume ghee liberally. Secondly, many factors are taken into account while prescribing the dosage of ghee in a person’s diet. Dosha, prakriti, balam (body strength), age, and season are kept in mind before prescribing the amount of ghee intake for a person. Thirdly, ghee does not increase cholesterol. It is the best among fats.

Dr. Sharma, what is your take on this? Dr. Sharma: With all due respect, I would say that any dairy product is an unnecessary addition to our diet. I assume that people in ancient times would have come up with this process of adding ghee to medicinal

herbs because of the heat-generating tendency of those herbs. Thus started the trend of using dairy products like ghee in my opinion. Moreover I would say that whenever I study a subject, my research is nature-based. I do not carry any traditional conditioning with me. The first thing which I would like to clarify is that milk, whether from a woman or any other mammal, is a complete food in itself. However, when we heat or process this milk, it decomposes into various components and results in food unfit for consumption. For example, when we remove the accumulated cream from boiled milk, the remaining milk is like the almond residue left behind after extracting almond milk. The toned milk that we get creates digestive problems because of its protein content. It is all about choosing who is wiser – nature or man?

Does that mean that ghee or any other dairy product is redundant in our diet? Dr. Sharma: I refer to them as adjustment foods. We do not need them in our diet per se. We create situations to have them. For instance, talking about my own diet, I do not consume any dairy products. I eat only fruits Dr NK Sharma: Conceding the benefit of ghee produced from curd

and nuts. I eat ghee only when I have khichdi or daliya, i.e, with cereals that are devoid of fats. This shows how we accommodate ghee in our diet, and go on to say that it is nutritious for us. This is a myth, in my opinion.

Could you elaborate on this please? Dr. Sharma: Our body undergoes tremendous strain to digest pure fats, starch and sugar. Scientists say that our body lacks the mechanism to absorb pure sugar. Similarly, when you consume nuts like almond or walnut, or even coconut, you get a combination of fats which is easily digestible. But our body cannot completely process fragmented fats like ghee without overstraining itself. So why do we need ghee at all? The simple answer is that man has distanced himself from nature so much that he takes pride in his self-made combinations of abnormal and modified food. But in the end he has to pay the price, when doctors eliminate fats and spices from his diet.

Dr. Pandey, what is your take on the question raised by Dr. Sharma? Dr. Pandey: I agree with him that ghee is a fragmented version of milk fats, but everything has its own value. I am of the opinion that ghee in the diet in small amounts is good for health. Today’s sedentary lifestyle is not exactly ideal for fat consumption. But, a person must have an optimum intake of ghee keeping in mind his agni, bal, and dosha. I also agree with Dr. Sharma that some things should not be taken in combination with ghee. Every food must be taken in the correct proportion in the correct combination. Besides ghee, butter and buttermilk also have their own significance in our diet. Ayurveda lays great emphasis on drinking buttermilk after meals as it increases pitta that aids in digestion.

Lactose intolerance is being heard of frequently these days. How does a person become lactose intolerant? Can such
a person include ghee in his diet? 

Dr. Sharma: Every mammal on this earth has a certain weaning period. A human child weans in two years. Usually, it takes three to 10 years for humans before the milk-splitting enzymes (lactase) in their system ends. After this, man
finds it difficult to digest lactose sugar and hence, lactose intolerance. Most people are lactose intolerant these days. But I have noticed that people with pitta predominance are least lactose intolerant. ,

Dr. Pandey: Correct.

Dr. Sharma: Mostly vata and kapha predominant people have lactose intolerance. On the other hand, I have also come across people who are well into their 80s without any digestive problem. Dr. Pandey: I guess lactose intolerance is a typical 21st century disease because we had never heard about it till a few decades back. This is because of consumption of fast food and packaged food. This makes the system slurred and slow.

Dr. Pandey, can a person be ghee intolerant? Dr. Pandey: Any person with manda agni (weak fire, i.e. digestive power) can be ghee intolerant.

So is ghee good or bad for us? Dr. Sharma: I would only say that I have abstained from dairy products following a kidney problem 40 years back, and have also raised my kids without milk and its byproducts. My family and I have not faced any discomfort or disease in all these years. We prefer fruits and nut milk, which are soluble fats, over these fragmented fats. Fats coming from animals definitely increase the cholesterol levels in the human body. Secondly, even if you want to use fats like ghee and oil in your diet, you must not heat them as they turn carcinogenic. Hence, fat should never be heated.

What is the way out?

Dr. Pandey: I will not say Dr Sharma is completely wrong. Transformation of gunas (properties) happens when ghee is heated. Secondly, with regards to the burning point, ghee helps in increasing the agni bal (fire) in the body and stimulates the digestive fire. Moreover, ghee is also used before starting the pan-chakarma kriya (detoxification treatment) due to its lubricating properties.

But the question that still remains is, is raw fat better than cooked fat? Dr. Pandey: I believe that when ghee is heated by itself or with certain condiments like black salt, pipli, or saunth (dry ginger powder); it will not have any effect on its properties.

Many people prefer butter over ghee. Which is better?

Dr. Pandey: Ghee is certainly better than butter. Dr. Sharma is right in saying that we should not depend on animal products as nature has provided us with many other foods with natural fat content. But if a person is taking ghee prepared from the milk of a hygienically bred cow, then he will not suffer from cholesterol problems. At least I have not heard of it in my 24 years of practice. Dr. Sharma: I support Dr. Pandey’s statement regarding cholesterol problem. It is a myth propagated by medical science that ghee increases cholesterol levels in our bodies. When a substance like ghee melts in your hand if held for a minute, how can it clog your arteries in a body with a normal temperature of 98.4 degrees? It clogs when the ghee is overheated.

Dr. Pandey: Yes, that’s right…

Dr. Sharma: It makes ghee too hard and irritates the  body. So the arteries have to create plaques to resist it.

What is the alternative?

Dr. Sharma: If you want to eat ghee, prepare it from the butter derived out of fresh curds. Ghee eaten in Punjab is of that composition. Since curds are fermented food, the ghee made out of it is much more digestible than that made out of milk. , Dr. Pandey: That’s right,

Dr. Sharma: My conclusion is that if a person eats as per his digestive prowess, he will not suffer from any problem, whatever be the food he has consumed. But in our ignorance, we overlook this simple fact.

What would be your concluding remark, Dr.

Dr. Pandey: In today’s lifestyle, ghee prepared from a high-bred cow’s milk taken in optimum dose is nutritious for the body. It is the best amongst all the fats and ayurveda will always hold it in high regard.

Postscript: According to research, about 65 per cent of the fat in ghee is saturated, and as much as 32 percent is MUFA (mono-unsaturated fatty acids). MUFA is a highly desirable form of dietary fat, the kind that olive oil is rich in. It is perhaps more desirable than PUPA (poly-unsaturated fatty acids). In this respect, desi ghee scores over many PUFA-rich oils like sunflower, safflower, corn and cottonseed oils, whose MUFA content is poor.

CALCIUM THROUGH MILK IS DANGEROUS

Milk can increase the rate of
calcium loss from the body

Calcium is another buzz-word for medical people and public. The “calcium-fever” has grown to such an extent that the commercial food and dairy industries are flourishing enormously. Any junk food advertised with added calcium draws great attention of the people, ensuring the highest sale. Antacid with calcium, cereals with calcium, baby food with calcium, soft drink with calcium, bread with calcium and so on. Let us look at the way we are fooled. We must ask these questions to ourselves:-

1. No species of the world is ever worried about their calcium nor are they deficient in calcium. During infancy their calcium is supplied by milk and after weaning period the carnivorous animals get their calcium from hunted animals, and the herbivorous animals get it from herbs and plants, but never through any milk products.

2. The absorption of calcium takes place in human body only in the ratio of 2:1 with phosphorous. No animal milk equals this ratio, hence no better calcium absorption (Dr. Frank Oski, Paediatrics, New York).

3. From where does a calf get its calcium whose need is much higher than that of man?

4. How can milk calcium absolutely designed for a calf be fit and usable for humans? Does it mean that anything that contains calcium must be consumed by human beings no matter whether it is a poisonous plant, flesh or milk?

5. If calcium is intended or designed for the development of bones and physical growth, why do we need milk calcium after the growth is complete? Doesn’t the calcium need reduce after maturity compared to childhood or a young age? Where will this excess of calcium go? No doubt, it will be deposited in various organs, joints, arteries, etc., or excreted, overstraining the excretory organs resulting in breakdown of the organ or imbalancing the chemistry. Now let us look into some of the causes, which are the real culprits behind the deficiency of calcium.

Calcium is necessary for the conduction of nerve impulses; it is a necessary element that binds cells together in body tissues; it plays a part in keeping the heart beat normal; and is essential for healthy bones and teeth. It is natural to ask where one will get enough calcium, if he does not drink milk and eat milk products. First of all, it takes only a small amount of calcium for the system to perform these vital functions, which otherwise puts too much a burden upon the system. The body’s calcium absorption is controlled by the endocrine glands, and the body can easily get all the calcium it needs from a natural, wholesome diet.

Calcium is found in all foods that grow on the ground. They easily supply sufficient amounts of calcium to meet the requirements of both growing children and adults. Plants absorb calcium from the soil and incorporate it into their structure. Animals consume the plants and absorb the calcium. That is how cows get calcium.

It has been established clearly that green leafy vegetables are a prime source of calcium in human nutrition. In addition, all raw nuts and seeds, grains, beans, fresh fruits, dried fruits and vegetables have sufficient calcium. The belief that we can’t meet calcium needs through a diet devoid of dairy products is outright fibbery, unqualified falsehood and sheer ignorance. Remember, researchers have established that calcium deficiency does not occur among individuals living on natural diet.

Why do we lack calcium?

Now the question that pops up here is certainly not how to add more calcium to the system but what is draining or keeping the calcium away?

The real Calcium leachers

1. High Acidic Diets- It is important to understand the role of calcium in the human body. One of its functions is to neutralize acid in the system. Many people who think they have a calcium deficiency, are on high acidic diet. So calcium in their body is constantly being used up to neutralize the acids. Reduce the acidic diet and stop the draining.

Acid and Alkaline Balance

The normal ratio of alkalies and acids in the body is approximately 4:1 for good health.

Our blood is basically alkaline in nature. To maintain its alkalinity, we need 80% of alkaline (base) food and only 20% acid forming food. Acid forming foods involve all animal products, meat, eggs, fish, etc., milk products (except butter), all grains, all legumes, all nuts (except almonds), tea, coffee, alcohol, sugar, tobacco, soft drinks, salt and drugs and preservatives, insecticides, pesticides, residuals, unripe fruits, etc.

Alkaline based foods include virtually all fruits and vegetables, sprouts, almonds, fresh coconut, green beans, peas, coconut water, honey etc. Though 80% of our diet should consist of fruits and vegetable, we consume almost all acid forming food. Whatever calcium we take in is used in the neutralization of acids instead of being useful to the body. The higher the use of acidic food the higher will be the use of calcium (the highest leaching). Therefore, non-vegetarians and lactovegetarians (milk users) use up not only body calcium but leach out calcium from the bones and teeth. When the large amount of calcium is lost, the bones become porous and brittle and become vulnerable to trogvent fractures. The disease thus caused is well-known. This is an extremely serious problem for a great number of people called in medical terms as ‘Osteoporosis’. Milk and animal products are acid forming foods. Dairy products are a major cause of osteoporosis (a disease in which bone calcium is lost severely).

No animal anywhere in nature consumes dairy products after the weaning period and osteoporosis is not an issue with the animals. Osteoporosis is unique to the human species. The only exceptions are animals tamed by man.

In another study, it was found that vegetarians do indeed have much lower chances of osteoporosis than the meat eaters do. Fruitarians are absolutely free of osteoporosis as the other wild animals.

Milk is touted as a great natural source of calcium, and we are told to eat plenty of calcium to prevent osteoporosis, or thinning of the bones. In fact, eating dairy products can increase the rate at which calcium is lost from the body and so hasten osteoporosis. As being high in calcium, dairy products are also high-protein foods. If we have too much protein in the diet from milk products or any other source, such as meat, fish or eggs, the body has to get rid of the excess part. To do this, the kidneys must lose calcium as they cleanse the blood of excess waste, a process known as protein-induced hypercalciuria (J Nutr III; 553, 1981; Trans NY Acad Sci 36;333, 1974).

People in the United States and Scandinavian countries consume more dairy products than anywhere else in the world, and of course they have the highest rates of osteoporosis (Clin Ortho Related Res, 152; 35, 1980). This fact emphasizes the threat of excessive protein in the diet and suggests that dairy products offer no protection against osteoporosis, probably due to the high protein content of milk (Am J Clin Nutr, 41; 254, 1985).

Vegetarians are not safe

Vegetarians are as much prone to osteoporosis and all other dreadful degenerative diseases, as the non-vegetarians, due to their excessive and regular intake of acidic foods like pulses, milk products, cereals, sugar, salts and processed foods. They not only drain away calcium from the body but develop serious disorders.

The best and safest way to vegetarianism is to maintain the ratio of 75% fruits and vegetables and 25% nuts or cereals and pulses in diet. Dairy products can be used sparingly or in proper combination.

THE CALCIUM DRAINERS

High proteins are the prime cause of calcium loss.

Thousands of studies show that the more protein you consume, the more calcium you lose. The great researcher John A. McDougall M.D., Asst. Clinical Professor of Hawaii School of Medicine has given 1600 references to back up his work, the most eye-opening materials you will ever read on this subject. Why isn’t his name recognised more widely? Because he is not on the payroll of the National Livestock and Meat Board or the National Dairy Council. In Dr. McDougall’s words:

“The calcium losing effect of protein on the human body is not an area of controversy in scientific circles. The many studies performed during the past fifty-five years constantly show that the most important dietary change that we can make if we want to create a positive calcium balance that will keep our bones solid is to decrease the amount of protein we eat each day.”

Americans get into trouble not only with the amount of protein they eat but with the type of protein as well. “There are about 20 common amino acids that make up the different proteins, three of these contain sulphur in their chemical structure. Sulphur-containing amino acids have a strong calcium-depleting effect on the kidneys. Animal proteins have a higher content of these sulphur-containing amino acids than the vegetable proteins.”—Dr John McDougall

High protein content causes loss of large amount of calcium and a negative calcium balance. And fifty-five years have passed but our learned medical authorities are still pondering over the causes of osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis—the loss of bone tissue—is common in Western countries, particularly in women after menopause. Changes in diet and a bit different life-style may help prevent it. The key is not in milk or massive calcium supplements. Advertisements by the dairy industry notwithstanding, evidence shows that, beyond a certain extent, taking calcium does not stimulate the body to build bones.

What causes Osteoporosis?

A major factor appears to be the damaging effect of a high-protein diet. “The literature indicates that a high-protein diet, which the American diet certainly is, contributes to the epidemic of osteoporosis,” Rosenthal said. “We have a population that eats a high-protein diet, they don’t exercise much and they smoke. These are really the main reasons for the epidemic of osteoporosis.”

An overly generous amount of protein in the diet depletes the body’s calcium. When protein is taken in, some is used for the body’s various needs. Some of the excess is changed to urea in the liver. Urea is a powerful diuretic. When urea and the amino acids, which are the building blocks of proteins, enter the kidneys, they cause loss of water and loss of important minerals as well. Calcium is one of the minerals that is washed away in this process. In addition, as proteins break down to amino acids which are absorbed into the bloodstream, the blood becomes slightly more acidic. To neutralize this acidic effect, calcium is pulled from bone material. This ultimately leads to an increase in calcium excretion in the urine. So the more protein we take in beyond the amount we need, the more calcium we lose.

“Researchers have estimated that doubling the protein in the diet leads to a 50 percent increase in calcium loss in the urine’’, says physician and nutrition author John A. McDougall, M.D.

The dairy industry, of course, is using osteoporosis as a marketing tool. They would like us to believe that the body’s careful regulation of calcium absorption and bone structure can be tricked by simply ingesting a large amount of milk. “But it’s not valid”, Burkitt said, “People with quite low calcium intake get infinitely less osteoporosis.”

Beware! High protein eaters, you are prone to cracking of the bones by the slightest accident or jerk.

Beware of medical professionals who are bringing you earlier to the grave by prescribing a high protein diet.

High protein diet is not only the sole cause of osteoporosis but also the major cause of cancer, tumours, kidney failures etc. Now this will have to shake some of these dieticians out of their world of self-deception and into the world of reality. When the problem of osteoporosis is studied world wide, one is struck by the fact that the highest incidence of osteoporosis is in countries where dairy products and calcium supplements are consumed in the greatest quantities (the United States, Sweden, Finland, United Kingdom, Scandinavian countries etc.)

The incidence of osteoporosis is lowest in the countries where the least amount of dairy products are consumed (The Asian and African countries, South India, China, Thailand, Malaysia etc.). Osteoporosis is most common in those states of India where protein consumption is high (Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, U.P. etc.).

A number of studies have been done among the Bantu women of Africa. They consume less than half the protein. Americans use and have a life-style demanding large amounts  of calcium, nursing upto 10 children in a lifetime. Yet osteoporosis is almost unknown among them.

Other  common acidic  foods :

Pulses & cereals : Legumes being protinous food are  highly acidic as meat, cereals are next. Wheat among the cereals are high in acids, rice and millet are low in acids. Legumes when converted into sprouts turn more alkaline and less acidic. The fresh raw green cereals and beans are more alkaline and good to use. When these are dried and cooked they turn into acidic food which should be used in less quantity. People using only pulses and cereals excessively all the time, lose their calcium fast. To overcome this problem, our daily diet should constitute 75% of fruits and vegetables and 25% of cereals and pulses. There will be no calcium deficiency if this composition is followed.

Tobacco : Smoking is an exceedingly acid producing habit. Its poisonous acids are highly toxic. Two drops of nicotine can kill a cat or rabbit.

Alcohol  : Impairs calcium absorption by affecting liver to activate vitamin ‘D’.

Caffeine : Found in coffee, tea, soft drinks, chocolate, etc., causes twice as much calcium to be excreted as normal. This has been demonstrated in several studies.

Soft drinks : The culprit here is phosphoric acid. It is made by treating phosphorus with sulfuric acid (caustic). The high level of phosphorus in the blood uses up body calcium from bones and teeth for balancing and neutralization. If the calcium did not buffer the excess phosphorus, the subsequent acid level in the blood would place one’s life in danger.

Salt : To say nothing of the large quantities one adds to their own food or have for us by the food processors. The more sodium you take in, the more calcium you excrete.

Concentrated sugar : This creates an acid reaction in the body and acidity demineralizes the system. This occurs because when sugar is metabolized, it creates various organic acids. Sugar intake also alters the calcium-phosphorus ratio in the blood by causing the phosphorus level to drop. When the presence of the latter is not enough, calcium cannot be absorbed by the body.

Antacids : Contains aluminium which causes an increase in calcium excretion, and those who are popping these relief agents should be aware that they are causing further deficit.

Lack of sunshine Also plays a vital role in low absorption

and exercise : of calcium. The remedy is to use sufficient sunshine and exercise regularly.

Animal milk is a crude calcium food

Some people get less usable calcium from drinking milk than from eating leafy vegetables, doctors use to suggest.

Another way of increasing calcium absorption is to have a glass of fruit juice every day. Apple juice is particularly effective. (CDR, Rudolth Ballantene, M.D, Diet and Nutrition U.S.A., page 228).

The body’s ability to absorb and utilize calcium depends on the amount of phosphorus in the diet (R Hur, Food Reform: Our Urgent Need, Heidelber Press 1975). The higher the calcium / phosphorus ratio, the lesser bone loss takes place and the stronger the skeleton, provided the intake of protein is not excessive. Foods with higher calcium / phosphorus ratios are fruit and vegetables. Nor is low-fat milk any better. It contains one percent butter fat and a full complement of allergy-inciting milk protein.

The remedy for calcium

Cut down on all the above mentioned high acidic and high protein  food from your diet. Add maximum of fruits, vegetables, sunshine and exercises to your daily life. Use low protein and low acidic contents, to the extent of not more than 25% of your diet.

Get the Required Calcium

from Natural Food

● Use maximum raw food (for 100% calcium absorption).

● Green leaves are the best source of calcium, provided they are eaten raw.

● Sesame (til) seeds rank first in high calcium content (1160 mg). All nuts and seeds contain enough calcium.

● Fruits and vegetables are good and well known sources of calcium.

● Oranges are especially high in calcium.

How To Properly Use The Law Of Attraction

Quantum physics describes the energetic characteristics of the Universe and therefore the fundamentals of the Law of Attraction. We know from even the most fundamental basis of quantum physics that everything in the entire Universe is pure Energy, differing only in characteristics such as rate of vibration. Quantum physics also acknowledges the fact that Energy is influenced by Energy, and like Energy attracts in accordance with its unique vibration; this is the very basis of how the Law of Attraction works throughout the Universe.

This truth can easily and unambiguously be demonstrated by means of a pair of tuning forks. If one tuning fork is placed a distance from the first fork and the first tuning fork is struck thereby emitting a sound at a certain pitch or frequency, which is in fact vibration, then the second tuning fork some distance away will then start to vibrate at exactly the same rate of vibration, and accordingly the vibrations are attracted to each other. This is a very simple but observable demonstration of how Energy and vibration influence the Universe. 

It is also very important to fully understand that Energy simply does not stop when it ceases to become measurable by the restrictions of physical scientific instruments. In fact the extent of the Energy spectrum that can be measured by scientific instruments is extremely small by comparison with the entire spectrum of Energy in the entire Universe, and not just the small, observable, three-dimensional aspects of the Universe.

Energy exists all the way to The Source of all Energy, The First Cause, God, Who exists at the highest frequency of Energy of all. Everything is Energy including thought, we live, evolve and have our being in a thought Universe, and it is therefore the Energy of thought that brings about creation, just as the entire Universe , the ultimate act of creation, started as a thought in the Mind of God, just as everything in the Universe now, including ourselves, are all thoughts in the Mind of God. 

Another very important aspect of quantum physics is quantum potential, describing how everything that exists already “potentially” exists in the Universe; everything that exists now, ever existed and ever will exist already exists at least at the quantum potential level, and it is the process of observation, i.e. focussing your attention on something that will cause the quantum potential to shift into quantum reality.

The Universe in which we live is a huge expanse of pure Energy vibrating at varying frequencies from the very highest of The Source down or more specifically outwards to the Universe of physical matter, forming the outer physical shell, the epidermis of the Universe as a whole as observed by science and experienced by the five physical senses. The experience of separateness is nothing more than illusion projected by the way that our physical and inner senses interpret that same Energy. As mentioned before, the The Source, the Universe, God experiences Him/Her Self by differentiating into the observer and the observed; this is why humans exist as individuations of The Source, The First Cause, of God, and how God experiences and expresses through us as individuated expressions of God. 

Just as our senses and Mind interpret the Energy around us, we similarly influence that Energy whether conscious of it or not, and it is that same influence that determines the reality as experienced by each and every person, whether that reality is positive, negative or neutral. Before Energy is observed it therefore exists as probabilities, the very act of observation influencing the Energy to manifest as an actual observable event rather than a mere quantum probability from the quantum potential of the Energy. The importance of quantum physics is discussed more. 

The Law of Attraction is an extremely important Universal Law, and an aspect of the Law of Cause and Effect or Causation. Understanding and consciously applying the Law of Attraction enables us to manifest anything at all we desire into our individual reality. 

Like everything in the Universe, we are all beings of Energy, extensions of The Source Energy, always attracting into our own individual realities similar Energy in complete accordance with the thoughts we vibrate. As we already know, the entire Universe is Energy and all thoughts are Energy characterised by vibration, and therefore thoughts attract precisely those Energy that are in harmony with the thought you hold in your Mind and are therefore vibrating and projecting into the Universe. This same Law applies whether your thoughts are positive, negative or neutral, and the effects will be in precise accordance with those thoughts.

Like The Source, we are all therefore creators within the Universe, co-creators with God, infinitely creating by the powers of the Mind whether we are conscious of it or not. Most people are not yet aware of this fundamental, powerful and empowering truth, and accordingly have no control over their own life, always ascribing things to such notions as “luck”, “fortune” and “chance”.

Another fundamental truth is “ask and it is given”. There are no exceptions to this Universal truth. The instant you make a request to the Universe, The Source, God, which will be sent, transmitted and received in the form of unique vibrations of Energy, it is instantly granted, there are no exceptions. A reason for this is that we are all here to evolve back to the First Cause by utilizing our own freewill, and accordingly the Universe will never, ever fail to grant whatever we believe we need at any time in order to evolve; however large or small. 

We all learn by experience, so if we for example believe we need a castle in order to progress, then the castle is instantly granted so that we might learn of our own freewill, by experience, that we ultimately do not require a castle in order to evolve, being, as it is, merely a physical object of materialism demanded by the ego. The Universe can just as easily provide any such object in the physical world; nothing is ever too large or too small.

Where most people who understand these realities experience difficulties is not in the asking but in the receiving. In order to receive anything it is necessary to be in vibrational harmony with whatever is to be received. This is an absolutely fundamental aspect of the Law of Attraction; like Energy attracts, and since any material object, be it a house, car, money or anything else is pure Energy, then it should be clear to everyone that the person attracting the object has to vibrate the same Energy in order to attract and be in total harmony with it.

Again, this simply cannot be stressed highly enough; everything in the Universe is pure Energy, an aspect and extension of The Source Energy, and all Energy attracts like Energy by manifesting in total vibrational harmony with it. This is a reason that upon passing on from the physical to the non-physical worlds during the process erroneously known as “death”, everyone is automatically attracted to that exact part of the Astral or Spiritual words that is most vibrating in harmony with the Soul and Spirit, and which in turn is determined by the state of evolution of each individual. This is how all evolution takes place, including our own evolution back to The First Cause, back to God. As we evolve, the vibrations of our Spirit are always in perfect harmony with the vibrations of the level of the Spirit worlds to which we progress.

One of the most fundamentally important things that anyone can and should do therefore is to be totally, consciously and permanently aware of The Law of Attraction, and to live in Spirit as a conscious co-creator of the Universe. The person that understands and lives by these truths fears nothing, always existing in a state of joy in the knowledge that anything we need we can always attract every time; ask and it is always given; all we need to do is to understand how to receive.

As you begin to fully understand these realities and integrate them into your Consciousness, seemingly amazing things will start to happen in your life. You will begin to attract everything you desire, people will appear in your life, circumstances will manifest, all in tune with your vibration, all being attracted to you by what you are vibrating. 

As your entire existence changes in accordance with your vibration you will know within every part of your being that you are indeed a co-creator in the Universe, and will henceforth approach life with joy and enthusiasm. Enthusiasm in fact is a highly appropriate word to define your state, being a derivative of the Greek word “en-theos”, which literally means “in God”. To live “in God” or “in Spirit”, “en-theos”, is to be in harmony with The Source, The First Cause, God of which we are all immortal, Divine aspects, having our existence as we do within the Mind of God.

To live in Spirit is to “let go and let God” in the full realisation, knowledge and joy that as immortal Sons and Daughters of God no harm can ever come to us. We all create our own realities by the thoughts we hold in our Minds, but beyond the thoughts we hold in our Minds we should all know that God only is Pure Unconditional Love, and nothing negative can possible happen to any of us. The Universe, The Source, God is total perfection, and all we need to do is to progress and be open expressions in the flow of that perfection. 

As your realization and your enthusiasm grows you will become more and more in vibrational harmony with that which you wish to attract, and as a direct result more and more of that which you wish for will manifest into your awareness and therefore your physical reality. This is a self-perpetuating process that will very soon be noticed by those around you who will often dismiss your “fortune” as “luck”. If appropriate, always strive to share your knowledge with those around you, but if they are not ready to listen, to receive and to understand, never force it upon anyone; their day of realisation will arrive sooner or later.

In order to place yourself in vibrational harmony with your wishes you first need to experience them. Remember; everything that exists, has ever existed or ever will exist already exists in the Eternal Now beyond the physical space-time restricted aspects of the physical Universe, all you have to do is to attract it into your own individual reality by placing yourself in energetic harmony with it, thereby matching your own vibrations.

To experience it is to imagine it, visualize it and be an integral part of it in your Mind. Imagination is creation, and therefore when you imagine something it is very real, not some sort of “figment of the imagination”, dream or fantasy. This is one of the very reasons creative visualization is so very powerful; by visualizing and mentally becoming a part of that which you are attracting you begin to match the vibrations that will cause it to manifest into your personal, physical reality. The quicker you can match those vibrations, the Energy involved, the sooner you will manifest the object of your visualisation, your wishes and desires into your life.

So to progress with being the creator of your own existence, relax, fully experience in your Mind that which you wish to receive, and then “let go and let God”.

Another important aspect of The Law of Attraction is “expectation”. You must always know, beyond any doubt that you already have everything you could possibly wish for; it is just a matter of receiving. You must therefore always expect to receive and never doubt even for a single moment. Always know, beyond any doubt that the Universe will provide.

A further important aspect of realizing your wishes is “desire”. Unless you are in perfect harmony with whatever you wish for, it will not manifest into your existence, and desire for whatever it is you wish for is a very important component of this process. If you do not genuinely desire something then you cannot be in vibrational harmony with it, and it will not appear within your personal reality however much you believe you may wish for it.

So your wishes must always be fuelled by desire and expectation, while never, even for a single moment doubting the results. Ask and it will be given, there are no exceptions, all you have to do is to place yourself into a state of receiving, and The Law of Attraction will operate with total, immutable action in manifesting the object of your wishes into your life.

The Law of Attraction applies equally to attracting or repelling people. Everyone without exception is a “transmitter” and “receiver” of vibrations which vibrations are picked up by those around you, or sometimes even at great distance; distance being a physical concept that does not apply within the inner levels of Energy where they first have their corresponding affect. People who feel attracted to you or you to them are those who are most in vibrational harmony with your own specific vibrations. Everyone, usually at a subconscious level detects the vibrations of others to some extent, this being the reason why people often take an instant like or dislike to someone else. They are picking up on the vibrations of the other person. Genuine psychics and very often animals are much more tuned into the vibrations of people, and indeed everything, and can instinctively determine the character of any being.

The Universe knows no such concepts as failure, contraction or chance; knowing only success, expansion and evolution in accordance with the immutable Laws of the Universe. All that is required therefore to attract anything at all into your own individual life by The Law of Attraction is to be in total energetic and therefore vibrational harmony with the Universe as an expression or “channel” of The Source, The First Cause, with God and that which you wish to attract into your individual reality. 

A further most important factor that everyone should know and keep in Mind is that everyone planned their own individual physical life, and knew what to expect and what was expected before even incarnating into the present physical body. Every physical life has a purpose but currently the majority of people do not know they have such a purpose. This is due in large part to the indoctrination most people receive into the physical world from the moment of birth, where they taught that all that exists is physical, and everything else is “fantasy”.

Once people do realise they are here for a specific purpose, usually related to personal evolution on the path back to God, they can begin to realise that purpose by vibrating in harmony with it, thereby attracting those things that they are here to attract as a necessary aspect of evolution. Everyone on Earth is a physical extension of Source Energy, with exactly the same creative powers as The Source; we are all co-creators with God.

With all of these factors in Mind it should be absolutely apparent to you by now that The Law of Attraction is extremely important, and key to happiness, fulfilment and joy. You now know that you attract to you everything and anything you hold in your Mind, be it positive or negative. Your task therefore is always to accentuate the positive and reject the negative. 

You know that there is absolutely nothing that you cannot be, do or have, and that all you need to do is to know this glorious truth, and that you can truly attract only those most positive, desired and wished for things into your life. When you reach this stage, and you must sooner or later, whether in this life or a further life, you will then know without any doubts whatsoever that you are indeed a Divine expression of God, a co-creator with God in this great and perfect Universe of Energy, vibration and Consciousness in which we have our Being, learning and continuing to evolve back to The Source, The First Cause, back to God.

Treating Plants, Objects and Food With Reiki

Reiki is an inherent natural quality and a miraculous divine gift present in every human being which can be effectively used to heal self, others and almost everything and anything in the universe (either distant or present) be it plants, animals, food, living, non-living etc.
Because Reiki is an energy that makes all life on earth grow and thrive, the results of Reiki treatments are especially visible in plants. You can even test this in the following way :
Plant,

Plant, some plants in such a way that you treat half of them daily with Reiki, and let the other half-grow naturally, without Reiki. You will find out that the Reiki treatments will yield stronger plants.
When planting seeds, hold the grains in your hands for while before you plant them. Give them Reiki every day while they sprout.
With young plants, simply hold them by their roots for several minutes.
With potted plants hold your hand around the pot and treat the roots. It necessary you can also treat the leaves.
With cut flowers hold the stems for several minutes, and later put your hands around the vase.
With 2nd Reiki Grade you can also treat your garden from a distance. A while ago we heard about a garden that was treated with Reiki from a distance and yielded a rich harvest of fruit while all other gardens in the area had a terrible harvest.
We can also especially help our forests with distant Reiki healing. And when you have a chance to be in a forest, you can hug a tree.

Even Non-living Has Energy
Everything in this universe is made up of Atom & every Atom has energy vibrating at different frequencies even non-living also has energy field. Obviously Reiki energises non-living too.
Minerals, such as crystals, precious stones and jewellery, can be cleaned or charged with Reiki energy. We hold these kinds of objects under running water for a short time and them hold them in our hands. Since matter is condensed vibration or spirt, it can be permeated by Reiki’s energy.

KUNDALINI AWAKENING – A DAGEROUS DECEIT – A LIE

Man is the repository of sleeping powers of various kinds. Kundalini awakening as a subject figures on top of them. Students have asked of me hundreds of questions regarding Kundalini Awakening which I have been answering continuously – some of the portions from them are represented here: –
I have been organizing studies, research and workshops on subtle energies and Para mental sciences for the last 15 years. I too was very much impressed with terms like Kundalini Awakening like common persons but as I went into its depth I could only laugh and feel pity for this foolishness continued since centuries. Let us understand its truth.
Kundalini means that which is sitting recoiled – in a pit that is a source of massive energy. This has been named as a serpent because it feels rising up undulating and hissing like a snake. This energy lies right below our navel centre at the tip of our spine near sex centre. God’s every work is law bound. Sex is a higher order power given to every living being for the purpose of creation, reproduction and evolution. The presence of such a big reservoir of power near the navel centre definitely empowers this centre.
Kundalini is basically the sex energy. It has been used after strongly awakening it and making it more upwards to gain paranormal powers and spiritual experiences than spending it in sex. But some of the facts which have been coming to experience for centuries are the as follows:

  1. Kundalini Awakening has nothing to do with spirituality, self-realization or God. It is only a storehouse of massive energy in body that can be used for the development of physical, mental or psychic powers.
  2. Awakening of any of the above mentioned powers only boosts ego. The desire for power itself is desire for ego. Because we desire acquisition of power only for making ourselves more superior or more powerful than others, to enslave/subjugate others or make them inferior or to foster our own ego.
    The feelings of ego and its assuaging is the greatest hurdle in becoming spiritual. So the desire for awakening Kundalini closes the door of spirituality for ever. Kundalini Awakening has nothing to do with spirituality as far as one can see. So with the notion of Kundalini
    3. Awakening the practitioner becomes even more egoistic than earlier. That is why neither Rama, Krishna, Budha, Mahavir, Jesus, Meera, Kabir, Krishnamoorti nor Osho or Sai Baba ever tried to awaken it or talked about it or gave it any importance. What has happened with Gita the same is happening with Kundalini also. Gita is born of one person’s awakening but afterwards for centuries every one has been explaining it in his own way. Gita is not the result of their awakening. They have been only explaining the awakening and taste of others. Krishna awakened, tasted its fruit and then spoke of the experience with much pleasure the taste which only others have felt – this is the case of Kundalini Awakening. May be at some point of time someone awakened Kundalini with the complicated process of Hatha Yoga by going against the laws of nature and then explained it from his experience but afterwards for centuries thousands have attempted it and still go on doing. But seldom it has awakened in anyone. Like Gita every one had been only explaining away the taste of others. And though none has had it awakened but they have been tracking up the description so nicely that for once even the person with awakened Kundalini would be amazed to see how fantastically people can explain the taste of sweets without eating it actually. The same thing is happening with Kundalini also. The purification of body and mind purifies the charka and once that is achieved Kundalini starts to rise on its own accord finding the way up free of blockage. It has not to be led up. Hatha Yoga is the experiment to lift Kundalini force fully. The process of Reiki and natural meditation themselves become the reason of Kundalini’s upward motion which is spontaneous and natural. It caused only benefit in place of loss while in Hatha Yoga in place of benefit the chances are more of harms mental abnormality, physical and mental suffering.
    When a being comes to Buddhahood, the whole world is blessed with fragrance of his penance and thousands of lives undergo transformation – and the blossoms of Buddhahood abound. But Kundalini awakening is entirely a personal experience and achievement which does not benefit the society or larger world even in one percent, because it is not like this that Kundalini awakening in one can transform thousands of others – nay the truth is not a single person is transformed from the Kundalini awakening in someone else. In India and the world hundreds of saints and holy men, gurus, yoga teachers and sadhaks claim of Kundalini awakening. But what contribution it has in the progress of society – did it affect even an ounce the evils of poverty, penury, religious dogmatism, corruption and immoralities. Not a single person of society became prosperous, healthy transformed or got rid of suffering. Let all the horde of saints awaken their
    Kundalini; it is going to do no real good to society or world. The truth of this matter is the world is where it was before their Kundalini Awakening and if they claim of actually having awakened it, since the world remains the same. Kundalini Awakening is merely a trick, an illusion, it doesn’t awaken as such
  3. The most interesting and surprising thing is that till date I have not seen or witnessed even in one per cent of the great saints and holy men who claim of having awakened it showing spiritual bliss or power etc. On the contrary, I felt very sorry for them and could laugh only at their terrible ignorance. Because their faces clearly betrayed their ego and they talked of various mental experiences like having the vision of God, meeting Him, talking to him, even playing with him. I feel greatly sorry for at their mistakenness and digression – because such scenes are quite natural in serene states of mind. And however supremely blissful these experiences are the moment the person returns to his normal consciousness not the slightest changes could be seen in his usual nature or reactions. The various kinds of meditation done in the name of Kundalini Awakening remove one to a different world that creates the feeling of some intoxication or addiction.

Telepathic Healing Heals Faster Than In-Person Healing

Very few Reiki students are aware of the fact that Distance Healing (also called Telepathic Healing) works much faster and more effectively than In-person Healing.  The time taken (say, a few minutes) to accomplish In-person healing could be amazingly reduced to just a few seconds through Telepathic healing.

Since the time taken to heal a patient is reduced manifold in Telepathic healing, the number of patients healed naturally, increases in the same proportion.  If in an hour, 2 In-person healings could be performed, through Telepathic method, a proficient healer can easily accomplish 4-5 healings.

It is a well-established principle of Quantum Physics that thought travels much faster than light.  The existence of ‘thoughts’ and ‘emotions’ is at a very subtle level.  It is level where the time and space dimensions disappear.  Hence, for a thought to travel, there is no barrier of time and space. Another crucial aspect that needs to be emphasized here is that the habit of getting stuck-up under the pretext of fate, coincidence, god’s will, bad karma should be given up right here, right now.  Whatever may be the situation, howsoever serious & threatening, howsoever strong may be the negative forces around you never focus on or pay conscious attention to them.  Do not think about them, do not talk about them because whatever you focus on, that expands and becomes stronger.  Therefore, the best way to counter such negativity is to produce equally strong positive vibrations and thoughts by giving Telepathic healing daily to such aspects of life.

The law of taking Tea & Coffee

NO TIT – BITS WITH TEA & COFFEE

Tea and coffee does create severe gastric irritation. Therefore people have developed a wrong belief that some food must be eaten with these beverages to counteract the Hyper acidity created by gastric irritation, people usually avoid taking beverages empty stomach with a baseless fear that it may lead to Acidity, Gastritis or ulcer. This dogma is also favored by medical doctors too.

Eating any kind of food Biscuits, Toast, Chips or spicy tit bits along with beverages Tea & Coffee creates more Acidity and indigestion than the drinking these drinks empty stomach this can be well experienced by an acid belching occasionally or else you can prove it by drinking 3-4 glasses of water at once. Thus creating a feeling of Regurgitation in which you can sense the feeling of strong acid.

Drinking tea & coffee empty stomach is far less harmful than taking with any food. To reduce the gastric irritability never boil your tea & coffee, which releases more toxic poisons. In nstead drink seprate non-boiled tray (pot) tea or use tea bags. Which are tastier & lighter in poison than the common boiled tea. Coffee must be filtered and light.

This is a fact that tea & coffee never creates gastric irritation in absolutey empty stomach (if you are already addicted to it). Tea and coffee always must be taken at least after 5 to 6 hours of normal starch or protein meal. When the stomach becomes lighter and hunger mature for next meal . After fruit meal it can be taken in a gap of 30 minutes.

Acidity is experienced by only those people who use tea and coffee shortly after major meal. It is a normal practice among the people that around 2 pm they eat their major lunch and drink tea at 4 or 5 pm. This is a common error and is extremely harmful. If you had your lunch at 2 pm you must have your tea at 6 or 7 pm not earlier than that so to ensure empty stomach.

•             To reduce gastric irritation drink a glass of cold water prior to any hot drink.

• The lesser the use of sugar and Milk in the tea & coffee, lesser the gastric irritation                         (This is in reference to weak pot tea not the strong decoction) sugar enhances gastric  acidity.

•           Never drink Tea & Coffee prepared from pure milk. It retards and interfere in the                          digestion of milk itself.

The Law of Consuming Liquids (Drinks)

Drink All Liquids Alone.

Water, soups and Beverages

Drink we define as pure water only. No other fluid except water deserves the name of drink other fluids commonly referred to as drinks are either food & or poisons and should be classed under these heads. Thirst is a demand for water not for food or for a so-called beverages. Fruits, juices, milk, soups (Any food having high water content) toxic drinks such as soft drinks, tea, coffee, alcohol etc. are not drinks, but food or poisons and should be taken as such.

Water requires no digestion at all. It is immediatly absorbed into the blood stream hense water must be taken in its natural form without any addition of nutrition or toxic substances. The natural tendency of water is to move fast & get absorbed within few moments.

The best way to drink every liquid & water is to have it empty stomach, no solid food like starches, proteins, fats or fruits should be consumed with it.

Do not drink with meals :- Drinking with meals or soon thereafter is not compatible with good digestion. Even animals and savages abstain from it after taking meal.

This is a very important rule and should be adhered to strictly. It has reference to the use of water, tea, coffee, cocoa  or other watered drinks while eating. Milk is a food, not a drink.

Animals and so-called primitive people do not drink with their meals and there is every reason to consider this instinctive practice to be best.

Laboratory tests have determined that water leaves the stomach in about ten minutes after its ingestion. It carries the diluted, and consequently weakened, digestive juices along with it, thereby interfering seriously with digestion. It is often argued that water drinking at meals stimulates the flow of gastric juice and thereby enhances digestion. The answer to this is (1) It is not the natural way to stimulate the secretion of digestive juices and results sooner or later in an impairment of the secretory power of the glands; and (2) It is of no value to digestion to increase the secretion of digestive fluid, only to have them carried out of the stomach, into the intestine, before they have had time to act upon the food.

Water taken two hours after a meal enters the stomach at a time when the gastric juice is there in abundance and the reactions are proceeding nicely. The water sweeps these on into the intestine and retards digestion. Take your water ten to fifteen minutes before a meal, thirty minutes after fruit meals, two hours after starch meals, and at least four hours after protein meals.

While eating, large quantities of digestive juices are being poured into the stomach. If drink, water or beverages is taken these are diluted. The water passes out of the stomach in ten to fifteen minutes and carries the digestive juices along with it. The food is deprived of these juice and digestion is greatly retarded. Fermentation and putrefaction follow.

Drinking water and beverages leads to bolting of food. The food is washed down instead of being properly masticated and insalivated. Many foods are dry and require much insalivation before they can be swallowed. Washing them down with drink prevents the completion of this first and necessary step in digestion. Forego the drink and the glands of the mouth will meet the demand for fluid by a copious supply of digestive fluids.

Drinking water with meals and directly after meals, leads to dilatation of the stomach. Chronic indigestion, gastritis, ulcers, and even cancer follow in their logical order.

A fictitious thirst often follows a meal. This is especially so if the food has been salty, greasy or full of spices and condiments. This “thirst” should be ignored. If thirst following a meal is not satisfied with water, it will be satisfied with digestive secretions and these will bring along enough enzymes to prevent fermentation and accomplish digestion in good order. The intake of fluids with meals and immediately after meals interferes with all the digestive secretions and results in indigestion. One may safely drink fifteen to twenty minutes before meals.

The person who eats fruit, green and succulent vegetables, and avoids condiments and has overcome his drinking habit, will have little cause for drinking at any time and no cause for drinking at meal time or immediately thereafter. Let him not fear that his health will suffer therefrom. I can assure him that it will improve and quickly at that. Drinking with meals is a frequent cause of overeating. It stimulates the appetite, Sometimes even creating an enormous one. Dr. Trall says : Some persons have boasted of the ‘ravenous appetite’ produced by drinking twenty or thirty tumblers of water a day; but I cannot understand the advantages of ‘ravenous appetites’; they are generally indicative of excessive morbid irritation of the stomach.

THE LAW OF CONSUMING MILK

Milk is best taken alone

The combination of milk with other foods is one of the major causes of common indigestion  leading to toxicity (poisoning) & Allergies.

Milk never combines well with any other foods. Nature herself has planned to take milk solely. Therefore for the first few months the child consumes milk only. When the child     becomes capable of eating solid food, he eats solids, he instinctively rejects milk by himself. So milk was never designed to combine with any food.

Milk is a complete concentrated food in itself. It requires full digestive process of its own kind. No other concentrated food like meat, eggs, cereals, nuts, roots or fruits should be eaten with it. Dairy products are enough of hindrance to the body but if improperly combined they are a catastrophe, including yogurts.

Milk acts as a gastric insulator. Its cream inhibits the outpouring of gastric juice for some time after the meal is eaten. Milk does not digest in the stomach, but in the duodenum, hence in the presence of milk the stomach does not respond with its secretion. This prevents the digestion of other foods introduced along with the milk. The use of acid fruits with milk does not cause any trouble and apparently does not conflict with its digestion.

Being a liquid food it cannot go efficiently with any other food. Due to its fat and protein contents the formation of curd tends to gather around the particles of other foods in the stomach insulating them against the gastric juices preventing digestion of other food. Milk prevents in-salivation and acts as a gastric insulator. Nature herself directs milk to be         consumed alone and solids separately.

Have Milk Alone Empty Stomach

Milk should not be consumed after a meal or in between meals. Milk, on its own is a complete meal. Milk is a food rather than a drink and should be taken as a food. It should never substitute water, tea, coffee or soft drinks which demand lesser digestion than the milk.

Just like fruits it should always be consumed alone empty stomach as a complete meal in itself. Being a proteinous food it should not be combined with any starches or different proteins (read the chapter protein-starch, protein-protein and protein fat combination) fats and sugars.

No Sugar With Milk :- All sugars ferments with milk leading to acidity and gas formation (Read chapter protein & sugars) milk is naturally sweet. Drink it without sugars.

No horlicks & Bournvita :- All these commercial products are based on refined cereals and sugars. Adding them with milk it is sure to ferment.

No breakfast cereals with milk:- Corn flakes, wheat flakes, rice puffs, toast etc. though taste delicious with milk. But as a rule starches & sugars ferments with the protein of milk. Better to have infrequently.

Milk after meal is hazardous :- Milk being a complete food in itself demands a thorough digestion. Drinking after the meal or in between meals severely interfere with the digestion. To put them into the stomach while stomach is busily engaged in digesting the previous meal, milk find no conducive environment for its own digestion hence trouble is sure to follow.

Except water no other liquid foods (Juices or Milk) should be consumed after or inbetween meals. It is hazardous.

Have these food separately as a mono diet – A fruits diet – A starch or protein diet. This is the simple and ideal – understanding of combinations.

A good lunch or dinner put a “No Entry” board on your mouth restricting eating of any kind of food (Except water) at least for 6 to 8 hours. Expressing its own way. That is “Please do not disturb. I am busy” or “No admission without permission”.

Advising milk after meal for good sleep or digestion is a non-sensical practice and is absoluely unscientific. On the contrary it is the major cause of disturbed sleep, indigestion and allergies.

What is the sense in dumping a food after a complete meal.

In fact animal milk is not for humans. It is infact absolute food. Every mammals, milk is designed and inteded for the developement of its young ones. Each species milk is exclnusively beneficial for species of that nature. Once weaned no animal will ever again consume milk and would then go on existing on the foods they are biologically adapted to. In the wild milk drinking is not on issue. Humans are the only creatures on earth that drink milk designed for another species and we continue to do so whole of our lives, never weaning ourselves off it.

Cows do not drink milk but why do humans being. We have some how or other developed an absurd notion that “A baby is never to be weaned” and thus give the cow the role of our foster mother.

Milk a liquid food is designed for an infant who does  not have teeth to chew any solids. When the baby begins to grow teeth this signifies that milk should be withdrawn from the diet and child should then commence eating solid food.

Drinking milk after infancy is a non sensical and harmful practice effecting the health of both humans and animals. Even calf and cow cannot survive healthy on its own milk. How about humans?

Milk is a Glandular Secretion

Absolutely for a new born not an ordinary drink. Let milk serve its right purpose.

Consuming milk after infancy is surest way to several diseases. Like, catarrh, hay fever, asthama, renal stones, heart diseases, allergies, gas, constipation and cancers. Better Eat One Concentrated Starch Food at a meal

The rule to consume but one starch food at a meal is probably more important as a means of avoiding overeating of starches than as a means of avoiding a bad combination. While overeating of starches may lead to fermentation, there is no certainty that the combination of two starches will do so

It is insisted by many that the digestive organism has need of and invincible affinity for one form of starch at any particular time. If two or more starches are eaten at the same time , at the same meal, one or the other will be selected for digestion and assimilation and the other permitted to go untouched in the stomach, not only without itself being passed on to digestion in the bowels, but also retarding the digestion of other foods, with fermentation, sour stomach, belching, etc., as the certain result.”

There is only one kind of starch, but starchy foods differ greatly. It may be true that the starch-splitting enzymes manifest a preference for one starchy food, although I have been unable to find any physiological ground for the statement, nor have I seen fermentation result from eating two starches where they were each consumed in small quantities. I think the chief reason for not eating two starches at the same meal is to avoid overeating of starches.

Certain biochemists say that when you have taken bread and potatoes you have exhausted your starch-license. Hygienists advise but one starch at a meal, not because there is any conflict in the digestion of these foods, but because taking two or more starches at a meal is practically certain to lead to overeating of this substance. We find it best, and this is doubly true in feeding the sick, to limit the starch intake to one starch at a meal. People with unusual powers of self control may be permitted two starches, but these individuals are so rare, the rule should be : one starch at a meal.

Writing facetiously of rules for eating carbohydrates, Carlton Frederick says: “Don’t serve more than two foods rich in sugar or starch at the same meal. When you serve bread and potatoes, your starch-license has run out. A meal that includes peas, bread, potatoes, sugar, cake and after dinner mints should also include a Vitamin B Complex capsule, some bicarbonate of soda (other than that used on the vegetables), and the address of the nearest specialist in arthritis and other degenerative diseases.”

For more than forty years it has been the rule in Hygienic circles to take but one starch at a meal and to consume no sweet foods with the starch meal. Sugars, syrups, honeys, cakes, pies, mints, etc., have not been tabu with starches. We do not say to those who come to us for advice: If you eat these foods with your starches, take a dose of baking soda with them. We tell them to avoid the sugars with the starches and thus avoid fermentation that is almost inevitable. In hygienic circles it is considered the height of folly to take a poison and then take an antidote with it. We think it best not to take the poison.

Eating too many starches at one meal is though not a very bad combination yet definitely a unhealthy practice. The over eating of starches is the major cause of Breakdown of the digestive system eventually leading to several degenerative disorders like. Diabetes, Arthritis, Catarrh, Skin diseases etc.,

That’s true enough, but it is also imperative that you understand the way your digestive tract operates. There are very specific body conditions in which fruit can be most effectively and efficiently utilized. Fruit has a totally unique quality with respect to its digestion.

As I pointed out in the description of proper food combining, food needs to remain in the stomach approximately three hours. There is one exception: fruit. Fruit is the only food on earth that requires no digestion in the stomach. It contains its own digestive enzymes and, when ripe, is virtually predigested, requiring only about twenty to thirty minutes in the stomach before passing on to the intestines, where its nutrients are absorbed and utilized by the body.

Be aware of the fact that fruit contains all of the necessary nutrients required by your body for sustaining life. That includes glucose from carbohydrates for energy and vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, and amino acids for the building of protein. This is where the word correct comes into play. For these building blocks of life to be made available for use by the body, two essential prerequisites must be met. First, because of fruit’s rather delicate nature, it must be consumed only in its fresh, ripe state. Whether it is fruit juice or the whole food, fresh is the only way it can be of significant value to the whole body. Canned or cooked fruit or pasteurized (such as juice made from concentrate) will ferment in your stomach, turning to acid and actually contributing to the body’s toxic load, whereas fresh fruit and fruit juices have the effect of assisting the body in cleansing itself of toxic residue.

Second, in order for it to pass quickly through the stomach as required by the body, FRUIT SHOULD BE EATEN ALONE ON AN EMPTY STOMACH, NOT WITH ANYTHING OR IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING ANYTHING. The traditional habit of eating fruit with a meal or having it as a dessert is precisely why people have so many misconceptions about fruit being fattening, acid-forming, too high in calories, or detrimental to hypoglycemics. If fruit is forced to remain in the stomach with other longer-digesting foods, it quickly ferments and interferes with the digestion of the other foods in the stomach. Under these circumstances, fruit does indeed have negative repercussions. However, eaten correctly, meaning alone on an empty stomach, fresh fruits and juices can only have a positive effect on your health.

Prove this for yourself. Eat several meals including fruit at the end of each meal, and then eat several meals eating the fruits first and allowing twenty to thirty minus to elapse before eating the remainder of the meal. See if there is not a recognizable difference in the way you feel.

Actually there is no reason to condemn the fruit than there is to condemn the other foods with which the fruit is taken.

The acids of fruits do not combine well with either starches or proteins, their sugars do not combines with either proteins or starches. To eat them with other foods that do require considerable (longer) time in the stomach is to have them held up there pending the completion of the digestion of the other foods. Fruits should not be eaten between meals. To eat them between meals is to put them into the stomach while the stomach is still busily engaged in digesting the previous meal. Trouble is sure to follow our rule, one from which we will do well not to vary is to “eat Fruit at a Fruit Meal”

The Fallacies About Juices :- The habit of drinking quantities of fruit juices. Lemon Juices, Orange juice, Tomato Juices, or any fruit juices – between meals is responsible for a large amount of indigestion in those who think they are eating healthfully.

The use of fruit juices as desserts and as appetizers, so strongly advocated in some quarters, is pernicious. The practice is based on the belief that we must secure all of the heeded food elements at each meal disregarding the limitation of digestive enzymes. Such eating guarantees indigestion to anyone who practice it.

Drinking fruit juices at all hours of the day instead of water is a sure road to indigestion. Fruit juices are foods not drink and should be eaten as food. Allergies to fruits are commonly not that at all. The troubles attributed to allergy are in almost every instance due to misuse of the fruit and its juices.

The Law of Drinking Juices :-

Fruit juices are food and require through digestion in the small intestine. If small intestine is already busy with the previous meal, obviously juices has no place for digestion. It has to ferment and consequently interfere with the previous meal too, producing, Gas, Headache, Allergy, Harshness and so on. Therefore all the fruit juices should be consumed either empty stomach when the hunger is ripening to the maturity or at least after 6 to 8 hours of a normal starch or protein meal. Never with or immediate after the meal. Of course juices can be consumed 20 to 30 minutes prior to major meal.

Fruits & fruit juices require full freedom of digestion being fastest digesting food on earth. A fruit meal is the ideal.

No Sugar with fruits

Sugar on fruits means fermentation two sugars do not go well together, cane sugar and beet sugar must be converted into simple sugar before they can be utilized. Fruit sugars do not cave & beef sugar tend to prevent the absorption of fruit sugars until they both ferments.

Preserved fruits are confections, not fruits. We do not advice them. Canned fruits have little to recommend them.

No Fat With Fruits

The common practice world over among all the people is to eat fruits with creams, ice creams and other kind of fats, which is a bad combination causing fermentation of fruits.

As earlier said in the chapter of protein fat combination that fat with any starch protein or sugars markedly delay its exit through pylorus and fat exerts an inhibiting influence on the secretion of gastric juices. By delaying the passage of the fruits from the stomach into the intestine due to presence of fat we are affording excellent opportunity for fermentation that too specially in the case of weak digestive powers.

Fruits salads with cream and Ice cream can afford you nothing but indigestion. Enjoy sparingly.

A God Made – uncooked fruit is perfect food, do not interfere with its natural perfection combining fats, sugars and other food stuffs with it is a great idiocy and nonsensical practice, nature do not appreciate but instead punishes for these misdeeds.

The best time to eat fruits

Break-fast is the best time to consume fruits and fruit juices when the stomach is empty Eating fruits as a first meal is a great invitation to nature in freshness, purity, wholesome nourishment health and an ultimate taste & pleasure of the heaven.

Nothing can afford in more gastatory happiness and real deep down taste contentment than a meal of delicious fruits, such a meal is always a invitation to pleasure.

A fruit meal will not cause the trouble that flow from eating fruits with other foods.

Such a meal will not demoralize digestion, it will do most for you, it is both refreshing and nourishing. The exquisite delight of eating such a naturally good meal, the wonderful feeling of comfort that follows the real genuine satisfaction it affords far surpasses that of eating other foods. This is the Ideal manner in which to eat your fruits.

Mother nature has flavored them just right to afford us the greatest enjoyment in eating. They are just right for our taste contentment. There is every reason why we should eat these foods with which mother nature so compellingly entices us to eating enjoyment and which she has filled with so much pure, rich, wholesome nourishment.

Eating a traditional, conventional break-fast is one of the most unhealthy dietary habits in existence and exerts a great tax on digestive system drawing large amount of energy (that is where all tea & coffee breaks comes in). The tragedy here is that the energy called upon to digest the breakfast is the energy that was to be used to fuel the elimination cycle, it is diverted to the stomach instead, thus severely impeding the all important daily cleansing cycle. If this scenario is played out every day that means this critical cycle is never allowed to perform its health producing functions. Ill health is the only possible consequence.

Fruits are the perfect food to eat in the morning. It is the only food that demands practically. no digestive energy. Fruits in certain circumstances can be eaten 2 hours earlier before your major starch or protein meal. Eating fruits before meal is less harmful than eating after meal .

Nuts and seeds ferments such as cheese and yogurt. These combine well with all sweet and oil fruits. These soaks nuts and seeds in the morning with fruit work well for people with hypoglycemia in general because these predigested proteins are already broken down to free amino acids so they are very easy to digest.

Preparing various fruits milk shakes with Nuts & Seeds milk also an excellent health building & weight gaining drink. Fruits do not readily ferments with predigested proteins of soaked nuts and seeds as both the food remain in the stomach for very less time and passes rapidly into the intestine not interfering with each other.

Beware ! fruits are never a good combination with dried (unsoaked) nuts and seeds as their protein requires a through digestion in the stomach.

How Many Fruits At A Time?

Not two great varieties of fruits at a time. 2 to 3 fruits of different varieties at a meal is more than sufficient to meet the demands of everyone.

Too many varieties tend to make you overeat. But single fruits never. It is self-restricted & defiantly economical.

Have Seasonal Fruits Only (Preferably of your own region) Unseasonable fruits are unhealthy.
